Gig Harbor, WALocal News

Chowderfest will return to Gig Harbor on March 8, 2025, celebrating the area's maritime heritage and culinary delights with 11 local restaurants participating. Attendees can look forward to a variety of chowder dishes, including Tides Tavern's new lobster corn chowder, which promises to delight with its rich flavors. In addition to the culinary offerings, the event introduces a trivia card collection challenge, encouraging participants to explore 29 local dining and retail locations. The Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance, which organizes the event, draws inspiration from local history to create a unique celebration. Tickets went on sale on January 27 and sold out quickly last year, indicating high demand.

Special drink and dining offers will also be available exclusively to event wristband holders, enhancing the overall experience. Chowderfest not only serves as a gastronomic highlight for the community but also fosters local business engagement and tourism.
