West Hollywood Honors Veterans Day 2024 with Special Ceremony
The City of West Hollywood will commemorate Veterans Day on November 11, 2024, with an in-person ceremony at the Sal Guarriello Veterans' Memorial starting at 11 a. m. This event aims to honor all veterans and active members of the U. S. Armed Forces, with the memorial adorned with wreaths and American flags to create a respectful atmosphere.
This year, there will be a special emphasis on recognizing LGBTQ veterans and their contributions. The ceremony will include traditional elements such as the Pledge of Allegiance, a bugler playing 'Taps,' and a performance of the National Anthem by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles. Community members are invited to attend and pay their respects at this significant event. For additional information, residents can reach out to the City’s Recreation Services Division or visit the City’s website, highlighting West Hollywood’s commitment to honoring diversity within the veteran community.
