City of West Hollywood to Begin Annual Tree Pruning

The City of West Hollywood is set to commence its annual tree pruning program on September 3, 2024, with an anticipated completion date in February 2025. Managed by West Coast Arborists, the initial pruning will take place along Sunset Boulevard, strategically scheduled to avoid disrupting westbound traffic until after 10 a. m. Following the commercial areas, crews will transition to residential arterial streets, operating from 8 a. m.

to 3 p. m. daily. To ensure effective communication, the city will implement several notification methods, including “No parking” signs placed at least 24 hours in advance and door hangers distributed 72 hours before residential tree trimming. Electronic message boards will also be utilized to provide commuters with timely updates.
