The Tacoma Rainiers secured a 10-3 victory over the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, ending their four-game losing streak. Tacoma's pitchers recorded a season-high 15 strikeouts, with Jonathan Diaz achieving 10 of those, marking the first time a Rainiers pitcher reached double digits this season. The Rainiers initially fell behind after a solo home run from Sugar Land's Zach Short but quickly responded with a two-run homer from Nick Dunn in the second inning. They broke the game open in the fourth inning, scoring six runs and sending 12 batters to the plate, which was their highest single-inning output this season. Samad Taylor's performance, featuring three hits, solidified his standing as the player with the most three-hit games in the Pacific Coast League this season.

Tacoma's pitching staff maintained control, allowing no additional runs after the fourth inning. The team will look to continue their momentum in the next game against the Space Cowboys on April 24 at Cheney Stadium. This victory is significant as it demonstrates the Rainiers' potential to bounce back after recent struggles.
