Pet of the Week Sweet Girl

Tacoma, WALocal News

Sweet Girl, a 9-year-old Boxer and Husky mix, is a delightful companion who embodies a youthful spirit, bringing joy to those around her. With her playful attitude, she enjoys simple pleasures like walks in the park and welcomes her humans with enthusiasm. Currently living in a shelter, Sweet Girl is spayed and would thrive in a home with elementary school-aged children or older, ideally as the only pet. In a related note, the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County is bracing for an influx of over a thousand kittens this spring. Many of these vulnerable animals will arrive orphaned and in need of immediate medical treatment and care.

This situation underscores the critical need for community support through donations. The shelter is hosting a virtual Kitten Shower to raise funds for the essential care these kittens require. Supporting this initiative can provide these tiny creatures with a second chance at life, making a significant impact in the local community.
