Special needs prom night experience set for Friday

Newlife Church in Silverdale is set to host Night to Shine, a unique prom night experience for individuals with special needs, on February 7, 2020, at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds from 5 p. m. to 9 p. m. Sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, this event is designed for participants aged 16 and older, providing them with a night of joy and celebration.

Attendees will receive royal treatment, including limousine rides, red carpet arrivals, and personalized attention, where each guest is crowned prom king or queen. Inside the venue, there will be various activities such as hair and makeup stations, a karaoke room, and a dance floor, along with appetizers and desserts. Last year’s event attracted over 400 guests, supported by more than 1,000 volunteers and caregivers, highlighting the strong community support behind this initiative. Night to Shine has a significant impact, having been held in 655 churches across the United States and in 24 different countries in 2019. This will mark Newlife's fifth consecutive year hosting the event in Kitsap County, showcasing its growing popularity and importance.
