Data Report How the City responded to homelessness Sept. 23-29
The City of Sacramento's Incident Management Team (IMT) has published its weekly progress report, reflecting its ongoing efforts to address homelessness from September 23-29. During this timeframe, the city received 623 calls to its 311 customer service line concerning unsheltered individuals, with 604 calls successfully closed by city staff, indicating effective problem resolution. The Department of Community Response played a crucial role by enrolling 105 individuals into local databases designed to connect them with shelters and support services, while 19 individuals were placed at the Roseville Road campus or the Outreach and Engagement Center. As of October 1, the availability of shelter options included no Pallet homes and one trailer at the Roseville Road campus, along with 21 spaces at the Outreach and Engagement Center. The report also highlights the city’s substantial waste removal efforts, with the IMT cleaning up an impressive 161,700 pounds of trash.
Moreover, compliance was achieved in 11 instances involving sidewalk obstruction and unlawful camping, demonstrating the IMT's commitment to maintaining public spaces.
