Sacremento, CALocal News

The City of Sacramento's Incident Management Team (IMT) has actively addressed homelessness issues, reporting 835 calls to 311 between October 21 and 27, reflecting the persistent challenges in the area. The IMT successfully resolved 582 of these cases, demonstrating effective intervention and compliance checks. Outreach initiatives resulted in 81 individuals being enrolled in local databases, connecting them to essential shelter and resource services. Additionally, 18 people found placement at the Roseville Road campus and the Outreach and Engagement Center, highlighting ongoing efforts to provide immediate assistance. The city also undertook a substantial cleanup operation, removing 125,820 pounds of waste from the streets.

However, the IMT reported zero compliance for calls related to sidewalk obstruction and unlawful camping, resulting in eight citations issued. This report underscores the complexity of managing homelessness while balancing community health and safety. For ongoing updates and insights, the city maintains a data dashboard for public access to IMT activities and outcomes.
