Data Report How the City responded to homelessness Oct. 28-Nov. 3
Sacramento's Incident Management Team (IMT) has issued its latest weekly report, detailing the city’s ongoing efforts to combat homelessness during the week of October 28 to November 3. A total of 748 calls were received regarding unsheltered individuals, with 575 of those calls successfully resolved, reflecting effective management and immediate response. The Department of Community Response played a vital role by enrolling 59 individuals into shared databases, connecting them to available shelters and resources. Additionally, 17 individuals were placed in facilities, including the Roseville Road campus and the Outreach and Engagement Center, marking tangible progress in providing support. As of November 5, the report noted a lack of available Pallet homes and trailers, with only four spaces open at the Engagement Center, indicating a pressing need for more resources.
The city also undertook a substantial cleanup effort, removing 149,040 pounds of trash, which highlights the importance of maintaining public health and safety. The IMT's data dashboard enhances transparency by allowing the public to track ongoing efforts and cumulative results since September 2023. Overall, this report underscores Sacramento's commitment to addressing homelessness through a comprehensive and responsive approach.
