The City of Sacramento's recent weekly progress report outlines the activities of the Incident Management Team (IMT) from November 11-17, 2024, revealing a proactive approach to homelessness. The city received 771 calls to its 311 customer service line concerning unsheltered individuals, demonstrating a high level of community engagement and concern. Remarkably, the IMT managed to close 740 of these calls, indicating effective resolutions through compliance and direct action. Outreach efforts were also noteworthy, with 74 people enrolled in local databases designed to connect them with available shelters and resources, and 14 individuals placed into supportive facilities. However, as of November 19, the report noted a lack of available Pallet homes and trailers at the Roseville Road campus, alongside limited space at the Outreach and Engagement Center.
The city's waste management efforts were impressive, with a cleanup of 144,420 pounds of trash, showcasing a commitment to maintaining public spaces.
