Lady War Eagles Open Season with Two Wins, One Loss

Pleasant View, TNSports

The Sycamore Lady War Eagles began their volleyball season on a high note, recording two wins and one loss in their opening week. They triumphed over the Kirkwood Lady Cobras with a score of 3-1, thanks in part to junior Violet Geldner's impressive performance, which included six aces and 17 assists. The following match against the Stewart County Lady Rebels also ended in victory for Sycamore, with standout performances from senior Anna Knight and junior Lexie West. However, the momentum shifted during their match against the Creek Wood Red Hawks, where they were defeated in three straight sets. Head Coach Lea Hunter expressed confidence in her team's versatility and the importance of teamwork to achieve their goals this season.

The Lady War Eagles plan to focus on improving their serve receive, which will be crucial for their success in upcoming district matches. With three more matches scheduled, including contests against Clarksville and Cheatham, the team is eager to build on their early successes and strive for a strong season. As the Lady War Eagles continue to develop, their commitment to being a supportive and unselfish team will be key to their performance moving forward.
