The Evergreen State College Geoducks women's basketball team has earned a spot in the 2024-25 Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship Tournament, beginning with a quarterfinal matchup against Southern Oregon University on February 26. Despite finishing the regular season with an 8-14 CCC record and an overall 8-16, the Geoducks secured their tournament place thanks to a late-season five-game winning streak. Head Coach Derrick Pringle highlighted the pivotal role of senior players like Jalyn Sackrider, Sydney VanNess, Allison DeBerry, Mikail Montez, and Thuyvi Tran, who were committed to making their final season a success. Southern Oregon, the top seed and ranked #3 in the NAIA, enters the tournament with an unblemished 22-0 record in the CCC and a perfect 28-0 overall. The CCC tournament features the top eight teams, with quarterfinal games scheduled for February 26, followed by semifinals on March 1 and the championship on March 4.
