Irvine Resident Sonit Joshi Receives Congressional Gold Medal Award
Sonit Joshi, a junior at Rancho Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Irvine, is set to receive the prestigious Congressional Gold Medal Award for his extensive community service. A competitive swimmer since age six, he trains over 6000 yards weekly while maintaining strong academic performance, earning him the Scholar Athlete Award in both his freshman and sophomore years. Beyond swimming, Sonit has demonstrated his versatility by achieving a “Certificate of Merit” in piano and earning a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
