Gold Coast, QLDLocal News

Authorities in Queensland are on the hunt for a man connected to the shooting of Linley Anyos, a 33-year-old woman, who was shot while sitting in her car on the Gold Coast. The incident occurred at a residence on Trees Road in Tallebudgera, and Anyos was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, with hopes for her recovery as she is expected to come out of a coma soon. Detectives indicate that the man they are searching for may have only met Anyos that same day, as he accompanied her and her partner to assist with a move. Despite a thorough search of a Southport property where the suspect was believed to have stayed, no evidence was found. A key piece of the investigation involves a white Hino tow truck, which was discovered abandoned in Nerang after being seen in the vicinity of the shooting.

This vehicle reportedly drove around the area for a couple of hours before returning to Nerang, prompting police to investigate its connection. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information related to the shooting or any sightings of the suspect. The urgency of this case highlights the concerns surrounding gun violence and public safety in the region.
