Edmonds, WALocal News

At the Mat Classic in Tacoma, wrestlers from the Edmonds School District showcased their skills in Washington state's high school wrestling tournament, which was held over three days for the first time due to the sport's growing popularity. The event's new format included a significant change in the girls' division, where girls no longer competed in a combined 3A/4A category. Several other wrestlers from Lynnwood, Meadowdale, and Mountlake Terrace were also in the consolation bracket, striving for top positions. In the boys' competition, Edmonds Woodway achieved a commendable 5th place, while the girls' team finished 21st overall.
