The Edmonds-Woodway girls basketball team from the Class of 2029 capped off a perfect season by winning the Wesco 8th grade girls championship with a solid 49-34 win against Arlington. Coach Matt Manning highlighted the team's remarkable performance, noting their early 30-point lead in the fourth quarter, fueled by a barrage of 3-pointers and fast-break scoring. This weekend alone, the Warriors outscored their opponents by a staggering 168 to 83, showcasing their offensive prowess and teamwork. The team featured a balanced attack, with key contributions from players like Amara Leckie, Amelia Faber, Amina Mandac, and Alyssa Rincon.
