With a career spanning over three decades, Bennett has held significant positions, including Chief of Police in both Maple Valley and Sammamish. She possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice, a Master’s in Psychology, and a Doctorate in Education, showcasing her educational background. Moreover, Bennett has contributed to the academic field by teaching criminal justice courses at Washington State colleges since 1998.

While she is a fully commissioned officer, her new role will be as a noncommissioned chief administrative officer, granting her the authority of the Chief of Police, though without arresting power.
