Dr. Faviola Barbosa has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Hand in Hand Immigration Services, starting her role on March 1, 2025. Her extensive experience as a community leader and executive administrator positions her well to further the organization's mission of assisting legal residents in their journey to U. S. citizenship.

Dr. Barbosa's personal connection to Hand in Hand, highlighted by her father's recent attainment of citizenship through the program, underscores her commitment to the organization's goals. With a Ph. D. in Leadership in Higher Education, she has held significant leadership roles, including Executive Director of the Washington Apple Education Foundation and Dean at Big Bend Community College.

The Board of Directors, led by Joe Morrison, expresses enthusiasm about her appointment, emphasizing her impressive background and community dedication.
