Suspect accused of pushing 62-year-old woman onto subway tracks in Brooklyn arrested

On September 20, 2024, Shadrach Ford, 30, was arrested in connection with a disturbing incident on a Brooklyn subway platform. Ford allegedly approached a 62-year-old woman at the Jefferson Street station of the "L" line, asking to borrow her lighter. When she refused, he punched her in the face and violently pushed her onto the tracks. The woman was taken to a local hospital where she is recovering from injuries to her ankle and elbow.
