West Hollywood Hosts Free Active Shooter Preparedness Workshop
The City of West Hollywood is hosting a free Active Shooter Preparedness Workshop on December 7, 2024, at 10 a. m. in the City Council Chambers. This initiative aims to equip community members with essential skills to respond effectively to active shooter situations. The workshop will cover best practices for responding to threats, increasing situational awareness, and understanding the Run/Hide/Fight/Treat response strategy.
Led by Erik Franco, a qualified trainer in emergency preparedness, the workshop will provide insights into recent active shooter incidents. It is designed for residents and employees of local businesses, addressing their unique safety concerns. Participants will learn quick evacuation strategies and basic first aid for gunshot injuries.
