City of West Hollywood Invites Community Members to Participate in Upcoming WeHo 40 ‘Shaping our Future’ Community Meeting
The City of West Hollywood is set to host a community meeting on July 20, 2024, to gather insights for its strategic plan, _WeHo 40_. This interactive event will run from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m.
at the West Hollywood Aquatic & Recreation Center and will feature a variety of activities, including informational exhibits, food from local vendors, and live entertainment. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback on draft elements of the strategic plan, which aims to shape the City’s future through a community-driven approach. Small businesses, particularly those that are BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ owned, will also have a platform to showcase their offerings at a market during the event. Notably, the meeting will include translation services in Spanish and Russian to ensure inclusivity. DJ Chinua and local organizations like Arts Bridging the Gap will contribute to the event’s vibrant atmosphere through performances and interactive activities.
This meeting is part of a series of community engagement efforts that underscore the City’s commitment to building an inclusive and equitable roadmap for the future. The _WeHo 40_ initiative reflects on the City’s 40 years of history while looking ahead to 2040.
