Asteroid to orbit Earth as 'mini-moon' for nearly 2 months: When you can see it
An Arjuna asteroid, designated "2024 PT5," will temporarily orbit Earth as a "mini-moon" from September 29 to November 25. Discovered in August, this event provides a rare opportunity for skywatchers to observe the asteroid as it travels close to our planet. Previous mini-moon occurrences have been documented in 1981 and 2022.
