Toei Subway adopts a multi-lingual communication panel system for handling spoken customer questions, a Japan-first for subway users

Toei Subway has introduced a multi-lingual communication panel system at Tochomae Station, allowing for spoken inquiries to be translated into 12 languages. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility for international travelers and individuals with hearing impairments, marking a significant step for public transport in Japan. The system is part of preparations for the 2025 World Athletics Championships and Deaflympics in Tokyo.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has announced the date for the 2024 RAINBOW BRIDGE RIDE and MULTISPORTS, scheduled for December 1, 2024. This event will allow cyclists to ride across the Rainbow and Tokyo Gate bridges and participate in various sports activities. Recruitment for participants will begin around July 2024.
