The 2nd “ROAD RACE TOKYO” set to take place!

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has announced the 2nd “ROAD RACE TOKYO,” set for July 13, 2025, inspired by the bicycle road race that took place during the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. The race will commence from Musashi-no-mori Park, concluding in Ome City, with more details about the course and program to be revealed soon. Additionally, the "RAINBOW BRIDGE RIDE" is scheduled for December 1, 2024, allowing cyclists to traverse over Tokyo's renowned Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Gate Bridge. This event will feature three course options, including a long course of approximately 35 km, a middle course of around 19 km, and a short course of about 8 km to accommodate family participants. The number of participants is projected to increase by 1,000 from the previous year, totaling 6,000 across all courses.

Applications for the ride will begin in July, promoting community engagement and cycling as a healthy lifestyle. The events are organized in collaboration with various local organizations, showcasing the city’s commitment to fostering sports and recreational activities. These initiatives aim to leave a lasting legacy from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics while encouraging active participation among residents.
