Tokyo, TokyoLocal News

The Digital Yukata Creator Fest, organized by Civic Creative Base Tokyo (CCBT) in partnership with MetaTokyo, is set to open voting for yukata designs on April 23, 2024. This event utilizes Web3 technologies to cultivate a vibrant Metaverse experience, allowing participants to engage creatively while connecting real-world artistry to digital platforms. The first event in March 2024 successfully attracted a diverse group of creators, yielding over 200 unique digital yukata designs. Participants can vote until June 23, 2024, with each voter permitted to select up to three designs. The top 30 designs will be developed into digital fashion NFTs, which will be available for free distribution in July through the Metaverse platform Decentraland.

In addition to online voting, promotional events are planned in Tokyo to enhance community involvement. This initiative not only highlights the intersection of culture and technology but also encourages participation from individuals of all ages. As the Metaverse continues to evolve, events like this pave the way for innovative expressions of creativity and cultural exchange.
