Tokyo, TokyoLocal News

The Tokyo-London Green Finance Seminar 2024, set for October 2, is a significant event co-hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) and the City of London Corporation, in partnership with the British Embassy Tokyo. This seminar marks the seventh edition and focuses on the burgeoning field of green finance and the emerging concept of "nature finance," which aims to foster a nature-positive economy. The event is designed for a diverse audience, including finance professionals from Japan, the UK, and beyond, as well as local residents and students interested in investment and environmental sustainability. Participants can choose to attend either in-person at the Toshi Center Hotel Tokyo or virtually, with free registration required. The seminar will be conducted in English, with simultaneous interpretation into Japanese available for attendees.

After the main program, a networking session will provide opportunities for attendees to interact with speakers and experts in the field. This initiative is part of the broader Tokyo Sustainable Finance Week, which aims to promote sustainable finance practices. The seminar also reflects the ongoing collaboration established by the “Memorandum of Understanding” signed in 2017 between TMG and the City of London Corporation.
