Tampa police have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting last month at Copeland Park on N. 15th Street. Jerome Parker is facing a first-degree murder charge, authorities said. Police did not publicly identify the victim in the case. They described him as a man in his early 20s.
The shooting followed a dispute over a package of socks just after 7 p. m. on Aug. 9, investigators say. Parker and the victim did not know each other.
