Orchestra adds a second free Pops in the Park show this weekend

Tampa Bay, FLLocal News

The Florida Orchestra has announced a second free Pops in the Park concert this weekend at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg, happening on November 9 at 6:30 p. m. The event, conducted by Chelsea Gallo, promises an evening filled with popular film scores, Broadway hits, and beloved symphonic favorites, encouraging attendees to enjoy a picnic under the stars. This addition comes after the orchestra had to cancel a planned performance in Tampa due to disruptions caused by hurricanes Helene and Milton.

To make up for the canceled show, the orchestra will also host a second free concert on November 10 at BayCare Sound in Clearwater. This venue can accommodate 4,000 guests with covered seating, eliminating the need for attendees to bring chairs or blankets. Food options will be available through local food trucks and concessions, enhancing the overall experience. These concerts not only provide entertainment but also promote community involvement and appreciation for the arts. With the pleasant autumn weather, these events are expected to attract a significant audience eager for live music.
