The City of Tampa has launched a new Housing Rehabilitation and Renovation Program aimed at assisting residents in Community Redevelopment Areas (CRAs). This program, announced by the Community Redevelopment Agency, seeks to provide financial support for crucial home repairs and renovations, thereby ensuring safer living conditions. Eligible residents, including both renters and homeowners who earn up to 140% of the Area Median Income, can apply for this assistance. Various repairs are covered under the program, including roof repairs, plumbing, and electrical systems, among others. Application distribution and processing will occur at multiple locations over the next few weeks, allowing residents to access this vital support.

Applicants are required to provide several documents, including personal identification and proof of income, to qualify for assistance. The initiative reflects the city's commitment to enhancing the quality of housing in underserved neighborhoods. By improving home conditions, Tampa aims to foster a more secure and supportive community environment.
