Tampa’s city council approved the budget for fiscal year 2025 Tuesday evening. The $1. 8 billion net spending plan includes $1. 65 million to make Hillsborough Area Regional Transit (HART) Route 1 free for one year. Several residents spoke in favor of the plan during the public hearing held before the vote.
