Teen Motorcyclist Injured in Collision with School Bus

A serious crash took place on August 26, 2024, involving a 16-year-old motorcyclist and a Pasco County school bus carrying 42 middle school students. The incident occurred on Trinity Boulevard when the bus and other vehicles halted for a pedestrian crosswalk signal. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist did not manage to stop in time and collided with the back of the school bus. Thankfully, none of the students, nor the 62-year-old bus driver, sustained injuries. The teenage motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

This incident highlights the importance of road safety, especially in school zones where children are present. Authorities are currently investigating the crash to gather more information about its causes. The community is reminded of the need for caution and awareness while driving, particularly in areas with high pedestrian traffic.
