County to host inaugural guardianship summit

Scheduled for March 27, 2025, at Our Church in University Place, the summit is free and open to the public, although pre-registration is necessary. Attendees will explore essential topics, including Medicaid eligibility, estate recovery, and managing chronic illnesses, with insights from industry experts. The event also offers a platform for caregivers to earn continuing education credits, fostering professional development and networking opportunities. Participants will learn practical strategies for navigating complex systems involving Social Security and other healthcare services.

Aaron Van Valkenburg, the ADR manager, highlighted the collaborative effort among various stakeholders to address these critical issues. The summit promises to empower caregivers with valuable knowledge and resources for better management of care.
