Tuladhara Yoga to Close as The Snug Pub Takes Over Tacoma's Proctor District

Tacoma, WALocal News

The yellow Craftsman house in Tacoma's Proctor District will undergo a significant transformation as Tuladhara Yoga closes by December 31, making way for The Snug Pub. This family-friendly Irish-American pub, owned by Ann Evans and her son Paul with his wife Andrea, will feature a menu that includes traditional Irish dishes like shepherd's pie and innovative items such as rattlesnake sausage on pizza. Tuladhara Yoga, a community staple for over ten years, has struggled with construction noise, leading to a loss of half its student base. Despite being offered an upstairs location, the terms were not viable for owner Alicia Barrett. The Snug Pub is set to open in Spring 2025, pending necessary upgrades to the building.

This transition highlights the evolving business landscape in the Proctor District and reflects the resilience of local establishments.
