In Tacoma, many grocery stores are adjusting their holiday hours to accommodate last-minute shoppers before Christmas. Safeway will be open on Christmas Eve from 5 a. m. to 7 p. m.

and will also operate on Christmas Day from 8 a. m. to 5 p. m. Fred Meyer will close early at 6 p.

m. on Christmas Eve and will not open on Christmas Day, with pharmacies closing at 5 p. m. WinCo Foods will offer varied hours, with one location remaining open for over 24 hours starting December 23. Other notable retailers such as Metropolitan Market, Costco, Walmart, and Target will also adjust their hours, closing on Christmas Day to allow employees to celebrate the holiday.
