'Ribbit Exhibit' on St. Pete Pier gives kids up-close look at Florida frogs and toads

The "Ribbit Exhibit," set to open on Labor Day weekend at the Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center located on St. Pete Pier, invites children to explore the fascinating world of Florida's frogs and toads. This interactive exhibit spotlights both native species, such as barking tree frogs, and invasive species like cane toads, emphasizing the ecological implications of these creatures. Attendees will enjoy a well-designed display case and have opportunities for up-close meet-and-greets with animal handlers, providing a unique educational experience. The Discovery Center also features a touch tank and an aquarium, along with interactive displays aimed at teaching families about the importance of safeguarding Florida's waterways and ecosystems.

Open seven days a week starting at 10 a. m. , admission is priced at $5 for adults and $3 for children aged three and older, with free entry for kids under three.
