St. Petersburg hires new public information officer

The City of St. Petersburg announced Thursday afternoon that Samantha Bequer will serve as its new public information officer. She replaces Eric Riggins, who resigned in April. Bequer currently serves as the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation’s communications director and previously held a PIO role with the Florida Division of Emergency Management.
