St. Petersburg city officials have set an ambitious target to collect a massive amount of storm-related debris resulting from Hurricane Helene within a 90-day timeframe. Since the hurricane's impact, crews have cleared an impressive 47,000 cubic yards of debris, reflecting a robust municipal response. The operation is supported by 67 city trucks and 61 contracted haulers who are working tirelessly, seven days a week, to facilitate the cleanup. Hometown Recovery Haulers have played a crucial role, completing over 2,200 debris pickups in various neighborhoods.

This initiative not only addresses pressing environmental concerns but also aids residents in their recovery efforts after the hurricane. The city emphasizes the importance of timely and efficient disaster recovery, showcasing its commitment to community support during challenging times.
