The West St. Pete CommUNITY Festival, set for September 28 at Azalea Park, is an initiative led by community activist Aron Bryce to encourage unity and celebrate diversity. Coinciding with National Good Neighbor Day, the free festival seeks to bridge divides among local residents through various engaging activities. With more than 90 vendors and a lineup of live performances, attendees can expect a full day of entertainment, including food options, art displays, and demonstrations. Mayor Ken Welch’s proclamation will underscore the festival's importance in fostering community spirit.

Bryce, who also coordinates the Institute for Strategic Policy Solutions, expressed his ambition to double the attendance from the successful inaugural picnic that drew over 1,000 people. The festival will feature local musical talent, including a Bob Marley tribute and a Pink Floyd closing set, complemented by a laser light show. Bryce emphasizes that while the message of unity may seem simple, it is vital in today's climate of division. The festival represents a significant opportunity for St. Petersburg residents to come together and celebrate their shared community.
