Seattle "Cake-TM" vending machine has customers lining up for sweet treats

Snohomish, WALocal News

The "Cake Coop," a cake vending machine launched by Nicole Conley in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, is transforming how locals satisfy their sweet cravings. Customers can conveniently browse and purchase slices of cake directly from their smartphones, making it an innovative self-serve option. Conley, a former tech professional, turned her passion for baking into a successful venture after becoming a stay-at-home mom. As demand for her cakes increased, she upgraded her traditional porch-based bakery to a colorful, bubblegum-pink vending machine. The Cake Coop operates Fridays through Sundays, and with cakes selling out rapidly, it has quickly become a local hit.

Conley’s journey reflects her determination to pursue her creative desires, even learning new skills along the way. "If you had told me two months ago that I’d be learning electrical engineering or software programming, I would have said no way," Conley shared. The Cake Coop not only highlights local entrepreneurship but also showcases the community's love for unique food experiences.
