Hope ‘N Wellness, an essential resource center for the homeless in Everett, is exploring a relocation to Our Lady of Hope Church to alleviate city pressures regarding its current site. Operator Jasmine Donahue confirmed that discussions are underway to utilize Hensen Hall, which could host services once a week, providing a dedicated space for clients seeking assistance. This initiative stems from an offer made by a church deacon, and while talks are ongoing, no final agreement has been reached yet. The church already engages in community outreach by serving hot meals, indicating a commitment to supporting those in need. The city had imposed restrictions on Hope ‘N Wellness, mandating it to vacate its Rucker Avenue location due to zoning rules, which has intensified the urgency to find a new home.

Donahue expressed optimism about the potential move, stating it would help them operate outside the city's scrutiny. The center also maintains a satellite office nearby, but the proposed church location could significantly improve access for clients who rely on its services. As negotiations continue, the community watches closely for updates on this important resource for Everett’s homeless population.
