Track Shorewood competes at Oregon Relays

Shorewood's track and field team delivered an impressive performance at the Oregon Relays, taking place on April 4-5, 2025, at the iconic Hayward Field. Co-Head Coaches Villanueva and Reese praised the athletes for their dedication and success, which included breaking three school records. Violet Koslowsky set a new mark in the 2k Steeplechase, while Max Billett shattered the 3200m record and won the two-mile race, earning the top ranking in the US. Ava Enriquez triumphed in the Pole Vault, tying her newly set record from a previous meet. The girls' 4x400 relay team showcased their speed, achieving a state-leading time and ranking third in Shorewood's all-time performance.

Personal bests were achieved by Lilly Burris in the Freshmen 100m and Jaden Marlow in the 110m hurdles, who qualified for the finals. The team's overall performance earned them a tie for 9th place among a competitive field, demonstrating their growth and resilience. The event was not only a platform for athletic excellence but also fostered a vibrant atmosphere filled with camaraderie and competition.
