On February 14, 2025, the Shorewood girls wrestling team competed in the 3A District 1 Wrestling Tournament in Oak Harbor, achieving a notable 4th place finish after a week-long postponement due to snow. Senior Libby Norton successfully defended her district title with a dramatic win, while junior Ellie Van Horn's inspiring comeback through the consolation bracket secured her a spot at the State Championship. Aly Fellores wrestled fiercely to earn a 2nd place finish, narrowly missing the title, while Abi Chishungu's solid effort resulted in a 4th place finish. Coach Brady Houck praised the team's resilience, particularly highlighting the impressive "redemption tour" by Van Horn, who overcame earlier setbacks to dominate her matches.
