Vacancies on Woodway Planning Commission

Shoreline, WALocal News

The Town of Woodway is actively seeking applicants for two vacancies on its Planning Commission, a vital body that influences local development and planning decisions. These openings have arisen following the recent appointments of Planning Commissioners Laura Murphy and Steve Gunn to the Town Council. Mayor Quinn will appoint residents to fill these roles, which are set to last until December 31, 2025. Interested individuals must submit a letter of interest by 1 PM on February 26, 2025, outlining their reasons for wanting to serve, along with a concise personal and professional bio. Applications can be sent via email or delivered in person at Town Hall.

The appointed individuals will be confirmed during the Town Council meeting on March 3, 2025, though attendance at that meeting is not required. This initiative not only encourages community involvement but also ensures that residents have a say in their town's future development. Residents are invited to reach out to Mayor Mike Quinn for any questions regarding the application process.
