The Shoreline - Lake Forest Park Senior Center is gearing up for its annual Holiday Bazaar, scheduled for November 6 and 7, from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. This popular event will take place at the center located south of the Shoreline Conference Center, providing a festive atmosphere for attendees.

Local vendors will showcase a variety of holiday items for sale, making it a perfect destination for early holiday shoppers. Volunteers will enhance the experience by offering food, creating a welcoming community vibe. The regular gift shop will also be open, providing more shopping options for visitors. This Bazaar not only supports local artisans but also fosters community engagement, making it a significant event for the Shoreline area. As the holiday season approaches, the event serves as a reminder of the importance of community connections and support.

Kenmore Planning Commission recommends mandatory affordable housing

The Kenmore Planning Commission approved a proposal mandating that developers include at least 10% affordable housing in new projects. The city will replace its voluntary program with “Inclusionary Zoning,” requiring developers to either build affordable units or pay a fee. The City Council plans to discuss these recommendations in May, aiming for a final decision by June 23, 2025.
