Design Shorelines Town Center Make It Your Destination

Shoreline, WALocal News

The City of Shoreline is embarking on an ambitious project to develop a new Town Center, strategically located between North 170th and North 188th Streets, flanked by Linden and Stone Avenues. This initiative aims to revitalize the area by creating vibrant public spaces that encourage community engagement and stimulate local commerce and residential development. The Town Center Subarea Plan emphasizes the importance of generating activity around existing public facilities and services, while also considering the aesthetic and functional aspects of the space. To gather community input, Shoreline is hosting planning events and surveys, inviting residents to express their preferences for businesses and services in the new Town Center. Additionally, the city is keen on minimizing the impact on nearby homes, ensuring that the development harmonizes with the surrounding residential areas.

A dedicated web page and social media presence have been established to facilitate communication and engagement with citizens. This collaborative approach underscores Shoreline's commitment to creating a Town Center that resonates with the community's aspirations. By prioritizing citizen involvement, the city aims to foster a sense of ownership and pride in this new urban hub.
