Park Volunteers complete another gardening day in LFP Parks

On August 26, 2011, a group of enthusiastic Park Volunteers made a significant impact at Lyon Creek in Lake Forest Park by engaging in a gardening day focused on removing invasive weeds. Coordinated by the LFP Stewardship Foundation, these monthly work parties are instrumental in promoting environmental stewardship while fostering a sense of community among residents. Volunteers gathered proudly, showcasing their hard work and dedication to improving local parks. This initiative not only benefits the environment but also encourages community members to collaborate and connect with nature. The final work party of the season is scheduled for September 23, 2011, from 9 AM to noon, at multiple locations including Animal Acres and Horizon View.
