Police seek help identifying suspects after hate crime harassment and water pellet drive-by at Capitol Hills Pony gay bar UPDATE
The Seattle Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying suspects involved in a hate crime at the Pony gay bar in Capitol Hill. The incident, which took place late Tuesday night, involved two to three young white men who yelled anti-gay slurs and fired water pellets at patrons from a modified dark blue Lexus sedan. Witnesses described the vehicle as having a loud muffler and a distinctive white “WRLD” sticker. The suspects reportedly circled the bar multiple times over an hour, with one patron being struck shortly before police were called around 12:45 AM Wednesday. SPD has increased patrols at other LGBTQ establishments in the area to ensure safety and awareness.
This incident highlights the persistent threat of hate crimes against the LGBTQ+ community. Police are urging anyone with information, including photos or videos, to reach out to their tip line. The ongoing investigation aims to bring the suspects to justice and promote a safer environment for all patrons.
