The fire broke out around 11:15 p. m. on Saturday, September 28, causing extensive damage to their home on South 187th Street. Puget Sound Fire officials reported that the intense heat from the fire also damaged parts of a nearby house, including siding and a window. Division Chief Pat Pawlack stated that an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
