Citizen Water Academy City of Scottsdale
Registration for the Scottsdale Citizen Water Academy's Fall 2024 session will open on August 14 at 9 a. m. , with only 35 seats available, prioritizing current Scottsdale residents and business owners. The five-week course, which requires attendance at a minimum of four sessions, delves into essential topics such as drinking water treatment, water quality testing, and recycled water uses. Participants will gain hands-on experience by touring the Advanced Water Treatment Facility, Arizona's sole direct potable reuse plant, and will even partake in a taste test of ultrapure recycled water.
The program is designed to foster community engagement and enhance understanding of Scottsdale's water utilities and innovative technologies. Registration is currently closed, but those interested can sign up for notifications regarding future academies. This initiative exemplifies Scottsdale Water's commitment to transparency and education in municipal operations. For more information, potential participants are encouraged to reach out via email. The academy underscores the importance of water management in arid regions, making it a timely and relevant educational opportunity.
