Department of Energy will fund solar panel installations on the Lincoln Park Community Center and promote the use of electric landscaping equipment. The Maryland Energy Administration has awarded Rockville several grants to convert streetlights to LED and install EV charging ports for city vehicles. These initiatives reflect Rockville's proactive approach to addressing climate change and promoting clean energy solutions. The funding is a direct result of the $1 trillion federal infrastructure legislation passed in 2021.
